“Becoming an orthodontist has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager. My mother was a hygienist, so I had a fairly good knowledge of the importance of hygiene, and I also had a really cool orthodontist. Thank you, Dr. Raffa!
“I think these two people were instrumental in my becoming the orthodontist I am today. I’ve been a member of the Lynchburg community for more than 25 years and have truly enjoyed working with the many families over the years.
“As orthodontic treatment typically takes some time, this affords me and my staff the time to become well acquainted with each patient and their family. I enjoy talking to patients about their day and how school is going as well as any sports or activities they are currently involved in. (I am a sports nut!)
“Most of our patients also know that I am an electronics geek and I love introducing new technology to our practice. From digital X-rays to digital scans, to our new 60-inch SmartBoard, you will know that we are on top of our game.
“I also feel very fortunate to have an incredible staff, many of whom have been with me over 10 years ... and one has been here more than 20 years! (Thanks Stacy!) They are the heart and soul of our practice. It is our goal each day to provide every patient the best possible care in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We truly care about you!
“Orthodontics is really much more than just straightening teeth. It’s about improving a patient’s function and overall dental health. Crooked teeth can be difficult to clean and manage and orthodontic treatment can certainly make this process much easier. Studies today show a direct link between dental health and overall physical health.” We look forward to making your orthodontic experience a fun, educational and very worthwhile process!
